Hello Friends, I am Shravani, and I want to share few of mine
experiences with you, that completely
changed my life and my way of thinking. Here I would like to mention two incidents. One
that occurred with me and the other with my friend but these experiences
actually changed our lives.
The first incident happened with my
friend who is a medical student. That time she was in class 12th . She was given a recognition for her
hard work, intelligence and punctuality by teachers during junior college.
Teachers would always appreciate her and help her in her studies.
But there was one black sheep in the
teaching fraternity. This teacher resented the compliments earned by her.
Despite the fact that she had a potential to excel academically it happened
that out of vengeance , the teacher
instead of capitalising on the positive
side gave more emphasis on the shortcomings on her part with sole aim to
demoralise her. In a situation like this, the vindictive attitude of the
teacher is detrimental .
Thus, she was very much depressed
and helpless. Looking at her in depression, even we thought that she would
never come out of this terrible depression that seized he then. But because of
her well-wishers within the peers who used to constantly motivate her and
also our
teachers who held very high
esteem in her , advised to wink at the
scathing comments made by the teacher in question.
The advice rendered by the friends
and well-wishers did help her to tide over the crisis. And thus she took her
lessons very seriously, deciding that one
should not get influenced by any extraneous comments which were aimed to
mar her progress.
From this incident, all of us
learnt a very important thing i.e. there are people who always try to pull your
legs but don’t fall for them. Always
your hard work will give the results. “Hardwork Never Fails”.
Here, there is one more incident
which happened with me when I was in Mumbai. And now, when I recall that incident I feel that before
trusting any one you should think twice. Trust on any person plays an important
role. Be careful when you trust. I often
refer myself as the luckiest traveler, because till now, I have very good
experiences while travelling but, travel can be challenging, stressful and even
bad things can happen.
So going ahead with the incident,
it happened that, I had to catch a bus running to Goa at 11 pm from Vashi Toll
naka. So, the bus stop was far away from my place and also it was on a highway from where it was nearly impossible
to cross
the road and reach the other side. So, I was not finding any rikshaw and no rikshaw driver was ready to drop me near
the stop on the highway and I was requesting them to drop me as it was too late
at night.
Then, after requesting n number of
rikshaw drivers, I met one who was ready to drop me the other side. When I told
my destination, he said he knows a shortcut from where he can drop me the other
side of the road and even I agreed to him as I was running late and had to
catch the bus on time.
So, when he dropped me near that
shortcut, I was shocked to see the place. There were no lights on the street
and the place was very bushy. But still, I decided to trust him and go with
him. But I was very much scared. When I reached the bus stop and saw people
there, I thanked God that he had sent a very good person to help me.
Later on, he said some touchy
words, he said “Didi, thanks for trusting me , and even I have sisters at home
so I understood your dilemma before trusting me. But never trust people such
way”. Always think before trusting them.
And I was shattered with these
words and this incident changed myself completely. I was speechless with his behavior. After this incident, I realized that there are still good people in
this world whom you can trust.
From the above two incidents we
understand that -
The respect is earned,
Honesty is appreciated,
Trust is gained and
loyalty is returned.
Also from the first incident we
understand that you should always work hard to achieve your goals and never
listen to people who demotivate you.
