16 Ways To Nurture Your Child Better

·         Childhood is a time of rapid growth and development and studying these changes is endlessly stimulating.

·         Child psychology is also called as child development. Child development is all about the biological, mental and emotional changes that take place in an infant until the end of adolescence. 


·         Understanding your child is the most important things  that you should learn as a parent.  A persons childhood is sometimes most complicated and it can then  affect  his whole life.

·         Children are born humans and as parents it is our responsibility to teach them how to be good human beings.

·         On the whole, child psychology is the study of influences of environmental and biological  factors on child and his behaviour  of mind in accordance.

·         Lack of awareness about child development can often lead to poor judgement of children, which in turn leads to poor parenting situations.

16  Ways that help you to understand  your child better

1)      You can understand your chil’s behaviour is by observing them as they sleep,  eat or play.  It is mothers primary duty to nurture her children. Observing your child is one of the simplest yet the most effective way to know your child.

2)      Hence, it is important for parents to know the different aspects of child psychology and development so they can contribute meaningfully towards their child’s emotional and mental  growth. 

3)      Parenting is not only providing your child comforts but providing them the sense of security. 

4)      Never compare your child with others this makes the child feel inferior. 

5)      Your child is unique and  has a  personality that stands out as he grows. 


6)      Nowadays, parents  are too busy in their work and don’t get time to pay attention to their children. If you want to understand your children , you need to make time for them. 

7)      You need to dedicate your time to talk and play with them that allows  you to understand their psychology. Communication is much more important.

8)       Quality time does’nt mean talking or doing something together. At time beings you can just sit with your kids and observe them to gather some insights about their personality.

9)      Child’s behaviour is nothing but a set of information in their brain and its outcome. Also keep in mind your child is always watching you. He always tries to imitate you.

10)  So be careful before you act infront of your children also many parents complaint about their children that they watch too much tv or always play games on phones. If your child is addicted to these, just think how many hours do you spend watching tv or on social media. Child doesnot know what is good or bad, they just do it because you are doing it.

11)  Before teaching anything to your child, you must practice it first. For eg. If you teach them to be polite them make sure you practice politeness first.


12)  Also you can learn many things from your child. Don’t ever be a forceful teacher.  There is one phrase in english, “Spare the rod and spoil the child.” It means punishment is essential for your child’s improvement.

13)  Also don’t count their mistakes but inspire them to be good.

14)  Every parent wants their child to be academically successful. But every child is not academically successful. So you need to check their interests. Some children must be good in sports, some might be good in singing or dancing.

15)  So try to nurture their capabilities and inspire them to do more.  Also keep an eye on your child’s company. You should check environment in their school, friends and also their families.  


16)  Always appreciate your children for their good deeds. It boosts up their self confidence.
