BEYOND THE EXAM MARKS

WHAT IS EXAM ?  Honestly saying it is only the result of 3 hours writing in a paper what you have read perfectly in a year.

Result can affect your planning but never can hide your talent both academic or extra-curricular.

Our education system has some very serious problems. It includes giving more preference to good marks over the knowledge and no encouragement of the students who think differently. Our schools and colleges only focus on scoring good marks in schools not on their actual knowledge and field of interest. And in this race of scoring goods marks, student potential of doing something great of his/her interest gets unperformed. Real learning is not the priority, students are being trained to clear the exam and to get a job. 

Everyone is encouraging rat race of getting good, not good but highest marks: Every parent wants their children to score good marks and to be on the top of the class. When the results are out parents start comparing their kids with the other kids. Kids get under pressure of scoring good marks in exams, so they start cramming the text books earlier night and they write it on the next day without understanding it. After giving the exam they forget whatever they have studied, therefore there is no learning.

Marks cannot judge someone’s talent

Scoring less marks in the exam is not the end of the life. If you are passionate in your work and have a strong desire to do something than no one can stop you. Great people like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates and Larry Ellison are all college dropouts but they all have become successful by their hard work and dedication towards their work. In the race of marks, students are becoming less creative. Some students can study which is already established and written in textbooks, but some like to create new things by their own, so grab the opportunities to show your talents.

Pressure of perform well and scoring high affects children's emotions: 

Fear of getting good marks in examination in students cause severe headaches, depression, loss of appetite, various mood disorder, sleeplessness and anxiety. For some student failure in expectation causes a psychological threat that they get demotivated and sometimes children commit suicide due to the unpleasant 

behavior and rude attitude of their parents after when they score poor marks. Even the teachers discourage and scolds them for not performing good in exams and the students starts feeling that they are good for nothing.

In this modern era, development of personality is very important. Although the English subject is made compulsory in the schools, but students hardly know how to speak English fluently. They even don’t know how to write proper sentences and paragraphs without any grammatical mistakes. The reason behind this is lack of adequate learning, understanding and knowledge. 

Although now days various hobby classes are running in every city, and they offer to develop child personality and talent, it is good somewhat, but many parents  want that their children should be perfect in everything like an all-rounder, this intention cause extra pressure on child , so there is need to explore hidden talent of child and let him to explore that talent. Every child is unique, need to be explore only not pressure.

Other activities are also important:

Studying for a long time without break can make your studies boring and can deteriorate your concentration, so it is very important to maintain a balance between studies and other things. Playing for some time can be very effective as it will help your mind to get relax and you will feel fresh. Meditation can also be done for relaxation of mind and after this you can get back to the studies.

A old quotation is - पढोगे लिखोगे तो बनोगे नवाब, खेलोगे कूदोगे तो होगे ख़राब. every children used to hear this, even adult also would have listen this from their parents, but what this is actually true, other activities and play is equal important for development of child,this also hep to shape carrier, various companies like Railway, NTPC, Bank And other private companies seek candidate expert in different platform as well sports too.

life is so big, and society need various expert in different area, race towards a single goal by everyone is not useful for all, every one has some unique talent and should give time for that too.    

The teacher student relationship can be very helpful, if they have a friendly relationship they can teach things more efficiently, effectively and help them to stay motivated.

Student should know that you are having a great chance to learn something new, you should not waste it by only focusing on getting good marks rather you should utilize it more wisely because you have to apply your knowledge practically.
